Christmas pudding

Flaming Christmas pudding is a McGinnis & Wiland family tradition.
(We've stopped trying to EAT the pudding, but we do enjoy lighting it on fire!)
Look carefully through the flames to see Gage's delighted expression.

Bourbon @ Jon's house

This does not show all of the shelves of bourbon....

More shelves continue along the south wall, but are not as copiously stocked as the two pictured here!

San Francisco

Where we began:

I took this photo for Jon; I think I was worried they'd tell me not to take pictures, and I didn't do an excellent job of focusing this shot.

My favorite restaurant in SF

E, after lunch at a lovely Spanish restaurant

I like these doors!

Lunch at my second favorite restaurant in SF - Tartine, @ Guerrero & 19th - this is croque monsieur with shitakes and tomatoes (bechamel, gruyere), and a whole pickled carrot.  We also ordered a hot grilled sandwich of membrillo and idiazabal (not pictured).

nice sign:

Fish!

City Museum

This enormous outdoor ball pit is more disconcerting than you might expect; it's really quite difficult to move around in it!  Here's Charlotte enjoying it:
